Alex P. Boylhart

Litigation Attorney

Alex was raised in Buffalo, New York. He attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

After earning his undergraduate degree, Alex spent a year during the foreclosure crisis volunteering in the AmeriCorps VISTA program where he helped provide free legal services to low income families at risk of losing their homes.

Alex attended South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, where he excelled in the school’s nationally ranked Advocacy Program. Alex was selected to represent the school as a Varsity Advocate where he traveled around the country representing South Texas in various mock trial and moot court tournaments. Alex won back-to-back Top Advocate Awards in the T. Gerald Treece Summer Academy Tournament. He was selected to be the first team Captain in South Texas’ history and went on to win a regional championship in the ABA Labor & Employment Law Mock Trial Tournament. In his final semester, Alex was presented with the “Heart of South Texas Award” by T. Gerald Treece.

While in law school, Alex clerked for The Honorable Evelyn V. Keyes and The Honorable Harvey G. Brown with the First Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas. He also spent a summer researching the Texas Juvenile Justice System and became published as a student in “The State of Juvenile Justice in Texas: A Roadmap to Improved Outcomes in the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, Adult Certification, and Mental Health.”

Alex is a proud member of Hope City Church and a supporter of the Miss America Scholarship Program. He is the Co-Founder, Co-Chair, and current Treasurer of First Book Greater Houston – a non-profit that provides brand new books to children in the low income communities in and around Houston. Alex’s board was recently selected as one of two non-profits in the country to receive 40,000 new books (a $300,000 value) that will go to the children of Houston.
Alex is a litigator and trial lawyer representing individuals against corporations and large insurance companies. He grew up in Buffalo, NY where he excelled as a 3 sport athlete in high school. He’s been recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 attorney in Texas by the National Trial Lawyers Association and a Top 10 Personal Injury attorney by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys. Alex was also selected to be a Fellow in the Nation’s Top One Percent of Attorneys.

Alex’s passion for bringing justice to the courtroom began in law school where he excelled in South Texas’ nationally ranked Advocacy Program. Alex went right from school to the courtroom, conducting his first trial the week after passing the bar exam, and he hasn’t stopped since. Alex continues to represent clients dealing with serious personal injury, death, corporate negligence, premises liability, and automobile collisions.
