William D. Fong is of counsel to the Immigration Section of Robert Kwok & Associates, L.L.P., and Principal of Fong & Associates, L.L.P. He was born and raised in Washington D.C., graduating from the University of Maryland and receiving his Juris Doctor degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. Mr. Fong is licensed to practice law in Texas and Washington D.C. He is board certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of Texas, Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Fong is an adjunct professor at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law teaching employment-based and family-based immigration. Mr. Fong is a co-founder of the Institute for International and Immigration Law at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
Mr. Fong’s practice is devoted entirely to U.S. immigration. He began his practice at the largest immigration law firm in Texas and his clients now include Fortune 500 companies, international companies, institutes of higher education, non-profit organizations as well as small businesses. He specializes in employment-based nonimmigrant visas, employment-based and family-based permanent residence; and labor certifications. Mr. Fong maintains a consular practice at U.S. Consulates in Mexico. Mr. Fong is active in the legal community, as a speaker at immigration seminars; serving as the Consular Liaison for the Texas Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association; serving 3 terms as a Vice-President of the Asian American Bar Association; and as a committee member of the State Bar of Texas, Opportunities for Minorities Committee and Committee to Elect Minority Directors. Mr. Fong has been named a "Texas Super Lawyer" by Texas Monthly (2005) and one of "Houston's Best Lawyers" by H Texas Magazine (June 2006)
