Thomas J. Daniel is a Partner at the firm, and he leads the pre-litigation section of Robert Kwok & Associates, L.L.P. Mr. Daniel earned his law degree from the University of Texas in 1996, attending on scholarship, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, graduating magna cum laude in economics. Mr. Daniel started his law practice at a prominent personal injury defense firm. He successfully defended major corporations on a variety of multi-million dollar cases, with a focus on toxic torts, Jones Act (injuries at sea), auto accidents, and catastrophic workplace injuries.

After gaining valuable insight on the defense side of personal injury law, Mr. Daniel joined the Firm as our negotiations expert, handling the vast majority of the firm’s pre-litigation settlements. Mr. Daniel's section handles an average caseload of 500 cases at any given time. Over the years, Mr. Daniel has successfully settled thousands of cases ranging from a few thousand dollars to several million dollars.  Mr. Daniel’s expertise is further utilized in many of the Firm’s litigation cases, particularly in mediation.  Most notably, Mr. Daniel’s average personal injury case settlement is consistently higher than the average settlement of the same case in the State of Texas.

In his spare time, Mr. Daniel enjoys traveling, fishing and spending time with his family.  Nevertheless, his main outside interest is playing poker.  He has participated and placed in a variety of professional tournaments, including World Poker Tour events.
