Railroad Crossing Litigation

In 2004, Mr. Kwok’s jury verdict of $18,204,244.00 in Slater v. Union Pacific Railroad made local and national news as a Top 100 jury verdict nationwide in 2004. The case was Mr. Kwok’s toughest fight, and he was honored to represent the Slater family in this challenging railroad crossing collision case against Union Pacific Railroad that claimed the life of the Slaters' husband and father, Gary Slater. In closing arguments, Mr. Kwok was thrilled to show the jury a photo of the newly installed crossing gates and arms, installed at the Slater crossing after the lawsuit was filed. [Top]
